Sakinah Institute hosts an enlightening in-person monthly halaqa with Shaykh Yasir Fahmy and Dr. Shadee Elmasry, where members of the community learn and reflect on wisdoms shared by the shaykh.

Our 50 for $50 initiative aims to build consistent funding for our regular programming along with building sustainability. Each initiative requires tremendous planning; with financial security, our team can focus on providing quality programming for all members of the community. Sakinah Institute is seeking a Social Media Specialist who would be responsible for creating and administering content on all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, to build an audience and ensure community engagement.
The Specialist will:
monitor site metrics, respond to reader comments, and oversee creative design
create content that resonates with the interests of the Sakinah Institute audience, developing a consistent voice and content
understand social media metrics and use the information to ensure the social media strategy is achieving its goals
assist in developing strategy, community management, creative directing, copywriting, customer service, and analyzing data
deliver content to various social channels, such as managing a content calendar, writing copy, scheduling posts, etc.
assist the Sakinah social-media channels in growth, measured by the amount of content published, when and how people engage with the channel, which content gets the most interaction, and how users respond to content; conversion rates (for class registrations, etc) are also important.
help identify potential relationships within the community
have experience managing social media channels in an effective and engaging manner
involved in traditional Islamic study currently or in the recent past
